Sgt. Thomas McVicar of the Jersey City Police Department shot 22 year old Kwadir Felton, leaving him blind, after Kwadir pulled a gun on him, he claims. Kwadir Felton denied the accusation, stating that he doesn’t even carry guns.

"I don’t understand!" Felton yelled at a police officer before his mother was removed from the courtroom. "You didn’t have to shoot me in the head for no reason! You trying to charge me with something I didn’t do!"

the confession: I think people are so infatuated with the romances that they’re forgetting about the story  and other elements of the game. Did any of us notice that the inquisitor might just be the most interesting protagonist we have had all throughout the dragon age games? Did any of you see that beautiful and smooth combat? DID ANY OF YOU REALIZE THAT WE ARE FIGHTING MOTHER FUCKING GREY WARDENS? DO YOU PEOPLE NOT SEE HOW INTERESTING THIS WHOLE GAME IS??

yyyyyyyeaaaah, because if you’re interested in the romances, you can’t possibly be interested in the other aspects of the game…

seriously though I get invested in the romances because they don’t spoil the game for me. I don’t WANT to know plot details. I want to be SHOCKED by them. I didn’t even want to know that we would be fighting Grey Wardens, I wanted to learn it in the game and be terrified because NO THE GREY WARDENS ARE FRIENDS WHY ARE WE FIGHTING THEM???
I want to scream at my screen if a certain event evolves I did not see coming. I especially don’t want to know who will die because I make stupid decisions. I don’t WANT to know about any of it beforehand.
And what use its it to SEE the combat when really the only time we’ll actually see just how great it is, is when we play it OURSELVES? To me there is no point in watching a demo if I can’t play it myself so I don’t get invested in that.
I focus on who my character can smooch, because that’s safe knowledge that will not significantly spoil my experience discovering the game when it’s there. But yeah, I am just a sappy sucker for romance. Sue me.

This. And people get invested in games for different reasons.
I like a good story, but one of the things that makes me really love it is the surprises and twists. So I don’t want to be spoiled beforehand by others picking it apart in untagged posts and there are far too many people who don’t tag their shit properly. This is why I’m relieved that we have so little info on the story so far, so I can already see the concept art, discussions and other bits without worry of spoilers.
Gameplay? Sure, it matters, but it had never really been the strongest suit of Dragon Age.
What I really get invested in is the characters. I’m a character-centric person. I can forgive clumsy gameplay or a bland story to a degree if the characters catch my fancy. And the relationships someone can build, romantic or otherwise, are a crucial part of their personality.
